About The Oatling Bakery

I grew up loving oatmeal cream pies. In a big family, they were one of those treats that didn’t last long, if a box showed up in the kitchen, it wasn’t unusual for us to race to grab one before they disappeared. For many of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s, they were the ultimate treat, soft oatmeal cookies with that fluffy, sweet cream filling in the middle. Simple, nostalgic, and unforgettable.

Recently, I tried one again expecting that same magic… and it just wasn’t the same. The flavor, the texture, the joy I remembered from childhood, was gone.

That moment sparked an idea.

What if we could bring back the real oatmeal cream pie? Not the mass-produced version, but one made the way treats should be, fresh, simple, and made with real ingredients instead of artificial preservatives.

So I started baking.

Batch after batch, recipe after recipe, until the perfect oatmeal cream pie came to life, soft, chewy oatmeal cookies paired with a fluffy cream filling and made with simple, natural ingredients.

And somewhere between the oats, the cream, and a little imagination… the Oatling was born.

The Oatling is the cheerful little creature who guards our bakery and watches over every batch. But around here, the name means something else too, the oatmeal cream pies themselves have become known as Oatlings.

Each Oatling is baked fresh in small batches, sealed for freshness, and carefully shipped so you can enjoy this nostalgic treat. They’re also generously sized, indulgent bakery-style treats, each weighing about 5 to 5.2 ounces and are 3.5 inches in diameter because a classic dessert like this should feel special.

For those who grew up loving oatmeal cream pies, we hope every bite brings back a little happiness. And for the new generation discovering them for the first time, we hope it’s the beginning of falling in love with a timeless classic.

Because some desserts are simply too good to be forgotten.
